Today’s Wall Street Journal has an article about how a book was picked up by its publisher and the industry’s current high hopes for big sales. (I found it via Shelf Awareness.)
I’m not sure I would like the book (Read an excerpt). For me, today’s article is an interesting read about how the publishing industry works.

Yanno, it’s funny – not until I got most of the way through the article did I realize that this book was one of those freebies I picked up at BEA (although I’m bummed now that I realize I could have gotten an actual gargoyle!).
There must have been something about the blurb on the back cover that made me bring it home (I didn’t bring EVERYTHING home), but I didn’t remember that it was about a burn victim, porn star, etc.
When I read it, I’ll let you know what I think.
