These are my stacks of books, standing by, waiting for the read-a-thon, hoping to be chosen.
I don’t intend to read all of them in these 24 hours, but I would like to make a significant dent (maybe half? Is that outrageous?).
Each of these stacks is from a different place; Stack 1 (left to right, from back left) is books I own; Stack 2 is library books; Stack 3 is books I borrowed from a friend; and Stack 4 is books I bought at the local, independent bookstore last night. The existence of this final stack is due in part to the library’s lack of books I wanted it to have; the first of two series that I wanted to explore.
I’ll be posting here quite frequently this weekend, as part of the read-a-thon. This is FYI, in case you were wondering. I haven’t figured out what book I’ll start first; that’s a bit of a problem. The start is just a bit over one hour away (10 a.m. Central)!

You have a great pile. Good luck and have fun!
Thanks! You too.
Looks like some great books there! Good luck…hope you get through lots of them! And most of all, I hope you have fun doing it!
Sounds like fun, but that’s a lot of reading at one time. Good luck. http://www.bentpage.wordpress.com.
Debi— Yeah, that’s definitely the plan! (The having fun, I mean.)
I just finished reading Ender’s Game for the third time and I am now reading Speaker of the Dead. Good Luck!!
Good luck! I think you’ve got plenty of books to choose from if your attention starts to wane.
