The conclusion of the Herding Cats (tl;dr) challenge is upon us!
I completed this easy challenge months ago now; the goal was to read three books from the monster list of books recommended by other participants.
The pertinent reviews of the list books I read:
• Cloudstreet
• Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
• Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
• Maisie Dobbs (Katherine also reviewed this one)
• Artemis Fowl
• Stardust
I also wanted to check in and see what readers thought who read and reviewed books I recommended:
1. Traveling Mercies by Anne Lamott
2. Master and Commander by Patrick O’Brian
3. One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
4. Kristin Lavransdatter I: The Bridal Wreath by Sigrid Undset
5. War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy
6. The Story of the Stone, Vol. 1 by Cao Xueqin
7. Whose Body? (Lord Peter Wimsey Mystery) by Dorothy L. Sayers
8. Safely Home by Randy Alcorn
9. Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn
10. Uncle Tom’s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe
(My choices didn’t get reviewed much, apparently.)
• Katherine reviewed Whose Body?
• Gautami reviewed Uncle Tom’s Cabin
• Nikki reviewed War and Peace
This was an easy, fun challenge — and the first (and only, so far) one I’ve entered. This is not counting the long-term challenge I’ve set for myself, to read all the books on the Image Journal list.
