I really liked this: "And then God shows up, bodily, and says he wants to write her love story." It sounds like such a wonderful place for a story to take-off. I'm not great when it comes to a moral in stories, though - it's got to be very subtle and well-presented, otherwise it kind of gets in the way of my enjoyment.

I've never read Gutteridge before, and I really love reading about your excitement for her books, though - I will definitely have to give her a try, although probably not this one first!
