This week’s Booking Through Thursday question, suggested by Tammy, (I haven’t participated in ages, but here I am again) is:
What items have you ever used as a bookmark? What is the most unusual item you’ve ever used or seen used?
I have a lot of bookmarks, and I love using them. I have several meaningful handmade ones, which are fun to use. Most of the time, though, I’m fond of business cards. No, not any business cards, but glossy, coated, two-sided artful business cards. I like the business card size better than most bookmark sizes. On a rare occasion, I’ll just grab whatever’s handy — be it a receipt, or a card, maybe a length of yarn, or a hair band.
I do go through phases, though. I’ll use one bookmark for 6 months or so, and then I’ll move on to another.
What do you use to mark your spot?

Me too – sometimes I’ll just use whatever is at hand. But most of the time I like to match the bookmark to the book, or just use one of my old favorites.
Haha nice that you pick pretty glossy business cards instead of boring ones.
Here’s my mark!
I love boarding passes as bookmarks!
I use pretty much anything for a book mark!
Booking through Thursdays: Spot on!
I can imagine what you mean about the size of a business card. i like postcards because of the size.
I usually switch my bookmark out every time I start a new book.
I will use a bookmark until I set it down and can’t find it. I will grab whatever is handy.
Since you go through phases, do you have a favourite?

Actually, picking favorites (of anything) is very difficult for me; I avoid it.
I love using bookmarks! I think it’s great you even make your own. I have a couple of ideas how to do it myself but as of yet I haven’t moved past the idea itself.
I love bookmarks, but the problem is I usually just collect it instead of using it o.0
Here’s mine
I have these colorful magnetic bookmarks that clip over the top or side of the page. I love them! There were like 25 in the small box I bought and although some have gone missing (they are quite small and I think I lost a couple while traveling) I still have most of them and they are the best bookmarks I have used. I don’t lose them as easily because I can leave it on the book while I am reading and stick the page inside the magnetic clip after I turn it. No more searching the covers and seat cushions for the bookmark I laid down while I read!
