I know, I should have posted the winners of my blogiversary giveaway days ago now, but I still haven’t. Hopefully later today?
In the meantime, I thought I’d distract you with cute puppy pics and a shot of something I’m knitting.
I was inspired Friday to try my hand at getting an idea for a hat out of my head and into yarn. After messing around with it some on Friday, and hurting my hands with the only workable needles I had available (bamboo double-pointeds), I bought a 16″ circular from the local yarn shop — the owner actually drove them up for me, how’s that for awesome customer service? Since I’m not working from a pattern, I’ve been ripping back a fair bit, and I still don’t know if it will be what I want when it’s done or not. But even attempting it is exhilarating!
What’s distracting you today?

Maisie is gorgeous and so big already! Good luck with the hat!
Thanks!

Aww, such a cute face!
And it’s been so long since I knitted something, you make me want to pick up my needles!
Your cute dog photo it totally distracting! (In a good way, of course!)
I don’t knit, but I crocheted a hat without a pattern this winter and it turned out much better than I’d hoped (although not exactly as I’d pictured).
Masie is adorable! And how brave you are for starting without knowing what it’s going to turn into. I can’t wait to see
