‘New classics’: Best books from 1983 to 2008

Entertainment Weekly has published its list of “new classics,” a list of what it considers the 100 best books published from 1983 to 2008.

I haven’t read all that many of them, but I am intending to read several of them soon. Perhaps this week, even. 😉

I found the list via Ann at Books on the Nightstand.

She has some interesting thoughts on the list. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet.

Your thoughts?

  1. Finally, a list I can adore in almost it’s entirety (I would jettison Eggers, but I know I’m a rare opinion there). Thanks for this, and for visiting my blog.

  2. I just wanted to remind you that Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon is this Saturday!

What do you think? I'd love to know.
