I haiku, do you? (read-a-thon mini-challenge)

OK, here goes!

Another mini-challenge was just posted, this one was to write a limerick or haiku about one of the books we’ve read. I’ll try my (rusty) hand! The first book I read was Stardust by Neil Gaiman.

Stardust I read first
Fairies, trolls, a fallen star
Rhythm-filled story

There you have it. Probably not very good; I’ve never been comfortable writing poetry. I prefer almost any other kind of writing, I do believe.

  1. Well, that summed the story up nicely! 😀

  2. Nice Job!! I am not a big writer in general! Let alone a poem or lymrick!

  3. I think haiku writing is fun. 😀 And I just read a book that taught me all the basics of poetry (I don’t want to write it, but I’d like to read it with a more informed mind) in a fun and interesting way. It’s called The Ode Less Travelled by Stephen Fry (yep, the awesome British actor)

  4. Hm, interesting, Eva! 🙂

  5. I think it’s lovely! And it DOES sum up the story!

  6. That’s nice to hear, Dew!

What do you think? I'd love to know.
