Read-a-thon, my first update

I’ve been keeping busy after waking up early (only a little earlier than normal, but still a bit early), between co-hosting, helping winners connect with their prizes and trying to sneak in a bit of reading.

I started with Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling, number 4 in the series. I started reading the series in June, during that read-a-thon (my first!). Regardless of how much reading I get done today, I plan to finish the series sometime this calendar year.

So far, my page count is 46! Even though we’re in the 6th hour, I’ve read for less than one hour, which is indicative of my page count.

I may not post much here for the next few hours — I’m working the second shift at Hidden Side of the Leaf (that’s the plan, anyway)! I will update you here, though, about what I’m reading.

  1. Ha, I think I read two whole pages so far. 😉

  2. Yeah, but you’ve been officially on duty! And I haven’t been. Perhaps this next shift, our fortunes will be reversed.

  3. You’re doing a great job! I hope you get some actual reading time later on.

  4. Thanks! I hope so too.

  5. Thanks for helping put this on! You are all doing a great job!

Glad you’re able to get some reading in too, though. Wow!

  6. Ooh, Harry Potter, excellent choice. Those books tend to fly by, so I’m sure you’ll be able to rack up some excellent page counts! Happy reading – and thanks for being a host!

  7. I’m sure you’ve flown through Harry by now and you’re on to something else. You’re doing a great job! (The Late Cheerleader)

What do you think? I'd love to know.
