Blogging awards

I’ve recently been blessed with a sudden spate of bloggy awards — the first three ever in my two-year-long-plus blogging career. I feel a bit silly doing this, but here goes.

Thank you, thank you!

heart_awardThe first, which was bestowed March 20 (I’m late, behind, remiss!), was presented touchingly by Andi. She presented me with the I Heart Your Blog Award. She said this during her presentation: “Word Lily keeps up with all the regularly scheduled blog posts — Booking Through Thursday, for example — and she reads and review voraciously. A great source of info on all things bookish.”

Thank you! How sweet! I love your blog, too, Andi!

mermaid_award_3Then last week Gavin presented me with the Splash Award — given to “alluring, amusing, bewitching, impressive and inspiring blogs.” Gavin said, “A prolific blogger, and an inspiration.”

Wow, I’m touched! Thank you! Gavin is participating in NaPoWriMo, the challenge to write a poem every day in this, National Poetry Month.

zombiechickenCarrie at Books and Movies said she would brave Zombie Chickens to read my blog. Now that’s dedication! 🙂 Seriously, though, I’m glad I found Carrie’s blog; I feel a real sense of kinship with her.

About the Zombie Chicken award: “The blogger who receives this award believes in the Tao of the zombie chicken — excellence, grace and persistence in all situations, even in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. These amazing bloggers regularly produce content so remarkable that their readers would brave a raving pack of zombie chickens just to be able to read their inspiring words. As a recipient of this world-renowned award, you now have the task of passing it on to at least 5 other worthy bloggers. Do not risk the wrath of the zombie chickens by choosing unwisely or not choosing at all….”

I’m not in the habit of tagging other bloggers for things. What the heck, I’ll start by sending the love back to those who sent it to me.

B&b ex libris

My Google Reader is full of so many more, but I’ll stop there for today. If I was going to type up all the blogs I read, I should do it in my blogroll, rather than in a post, don’t you think? Alas, I have not taken the time to do that, here or there.
