Challenge trepidation

harry potter reading challengeAt the beginning of the year I enthusiastically joined two or three challenges (my first ever). And then, before I’d even started them, I reneged. All the extra posts and requirements, etc., were stressing me out. So it is with no small measure of fear and trepidation that I raise my hand and join GalleySmith’s Harry Potter Reading Challenge. That’s why I’m so late getting around to choosing to and announcing my participation. I read all of the Harry Potter series in 2008 for the first time.

The challenge requires me to read all seven Harry Potter books, before the end date of July 31, 2010.

Think I can make it?

  1. I’m so glad you’re taking part in the challenge! I’ve started my “reread” of HP #1 in audio, and it’s so much fun.

I’m terrible at challenges. I joined a whole bunch, and it’s not so much that I don’t read the books, it’s that I never can remember to update my challenge lists so now I’m so far behind and it really does look like quite a chore catching up. Why do I suspect I will be frantically going through all the books I’ve read in 2009 on, say, December 30, and spending all of New Year’s Eve updating my challenge posts? It’s a sad, sad thing indeed! 🙂

  2. Oh, GOD, yes, you can make this challenge, EASY. As a matter of fact, I just knocked off the first HP novel in about three days (and that’s WITH being on death watch). Truly; you’ll make it, and you’ll love every minute of it.

  3. I’m totally afraid of the stress and pressure of challenges, so I think you should think of yourself as brave and resilient!!!

  4. So glad you decided to join in. We can encourage each other. Not only do I have to listen to the whole series, but I have to read the last two (haven’t read them yet) first. So you’re already two books ahead of me 😉

What do you think? I'd love to know.
