BBAW09_Celebrate_Books

I can hardly believe Book Blogger Appreciation Blogger Week is finally here! The anticipation has been building for weeks and weeks, and now it’s started. The BBAW prompt for today is to “write a post thanking and spotlighting your favorite blogs that didn’t make the shortlists.” This I will gladly do, because, as many great blogs have been highlighted by the awards short lists, several of my favorite reads were missing from the lists.

Just a few of my favorite book bloggers:

AndiLit is genuine, honest. Always has something worth saying, may make you think. Often thinking about her writing life.

• I’ve recently come to know Margot at Joyfully Retired. We both have a love of the Midwest, we read some of the same books, and I enjoy her perspective.

Carrie at Books and Movies and I seem to share similar sensibilities. Plus, she makes great lists! Favorite classics, favorite YA fiction, even favorite books about reading and writing! (These are only a few of her favorites posts; looks like each one has a list of all the rest, though.)

Tree Swing Reading is taking a break from blogging right now, for personal reasons (which I can totally understand, but which also makes me sad), but her posts are at turns vulnerable and light-hearted, and always generous.

  6. You came up with a great list. I had to check Tree Swing Reading out and it’s a shame she had to give up her blog.

  7. Thanks Hannah for adding me to your list. The feeling is mutual. I look forward to spending more time visiting.

  8. Hi. I came through Gavin at page 247. I enjoy Andilit, too. Love your wordlist!

What do you think? I'd love to know.
