Interview me

My 3-year blogiversary is coming up (next week!). I’ve never submitted myself to you all before (formally, anyway), and I thought this would be the perfect time to do so.

Ask me questions! What do you want to know?

Please don’t leave me hanging on this, I need your help! I know it’s probably stupid, but as I’m writing this I’m afraid I won’t get any questions, or very few. I’ll attempt to answer every question I’m asked.

  1. THREE YEARS! Wowie! Congratulations! (Have I been reading you for that long?)

Um… questions, huh? I thought I’d post the usual – “what got you into blogging?” “What’s something about your job/life/self that you love?” – but decided instead to go with stuff that you might not be expecting:

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
What is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to you in what you consider a professional context?
Do you have an animal totem? If so, what is it and why do you think this animal either represents or informs your character?

I’m a writing teacher; I’ve got a treasure trove of prompts. If you want more, just ask!

  2. Hey, it’s my Blogiversary next week too, and I’m also soliciting reader questions! How about we trade?

Here are a couple for you:
What book have you liked LEAST in the last six months?

Do you review every book you read, whether or not it’s a “review book”? If not, how do you decide which books to review on your blog?

Are you considering making any changes in your blogging habits or content in the near future?

    Happy Blogiversary, in advance!

  3. I’m so impressed that you’ve been at this for 3 years! How did you come up with the name of your blog? How do you find time to keep up a book blog and pursue other hobbies as well?

  4. Why did you start blogging?

How has your blog changed over the last 3 years?

    Happy blogiversary (in advance).

  5. Hope you have many more!

Now which part of blogging you like best? And which part you like least?

    Which genre interests you more?

Do you snack while reading? Or blogging?

    What is your favourite beverage?

  6. What’s your favorite TV show and why? Why do you like Gilmore Girls?

Do you have an embarrassing moment you’d share with us?

Any authors you consider panty worthy?

  7. Hey, my three years is next week too! 🙂

What five books are most important to you?

    Who’s your celebrity crush?

What books get you out of a reading slump?

  8. Have you ever regretted reading a book?

  9. Have you ever written a letter to a celebrity?

If you could invite three people -living or dead – over for dinner, whom would you choose?

What’s your favorite word? Least favorite?

    And congrats!

  10. Congratulations! How has the blogging world changed over the last three years?

  11. What do you miss most about your home in Siloam Springs?

  12. Ooh great idea!

Farmlanebooks asked my first question, how the blogesphere has changed since you began.

How has your personal blogging changed since the beginning?

What do you really like about blogging?

Was there ever a point you considered giving up blogging – if so when and why?

What advice would you give those of us who hope to someday have a three year blogiversary?

Thanks! I am excited to see your post!

  13. Congratulations on three years . That’s a long time. I’d like to know more about you, the person. Could you perhaps share also something about spinning and knitting? I’d also like to know how many new words you’ve collected in three years and more about them.

  14. Congratulations! It’s amazing how fast time goes by. My three-year anniversary is next month.

What are a few things you’re learned over the years about yourself as a blogger?

What is one of the nicest things someone has done for you? I was thinking about this for myself this morning, and it just made my day feel so much better.

Do you have any goals about blogging or life for the next year?

What do you think? I'd love to know.
