At least 250 million of the world’s children — one out of six — work for a living. Nearly half of them put in the same hours as adults. Two-thirds endure hazardous conditions.

Little girls make particularly popular employees because they can be paid less than anyone. Domestic service is probably the largest and most hidden employer of underage girls worldwide.
