My sweet baby boy

I’ve got a cold, and the boy, who got tooth 3 yesterday and tooth 4 today, with tooth 5 not too far off, isn’t in the greatest of spirits, either. So instead of a long, thoughtful post, you get some cuteness.

Asa in heirloom crocheted sweater

This photo was taken a couple weeks ago (and already shared elsewhere, so if you’ve seen it already, sorry for the duplication). He’s wearing a handmade, crocheted sweater. The yarn used is wool, but I’m not sure what the shiny threads that seem to be part of the yarn are (possibly silk?). The stitch pattern is pretty. We’re not sure if the sweater was originally worn by my grandfather or one of my uncles.

I just love seeing him in clothes that have stood the test of years.

  1. I’m pretty sure he could make tattered rags look adorable!!! But that sweater is beautiful! Hope you’re both feeling better soon!

  2. What a wonderful grandson!!!!

  3. I’m sorry you aren’t feeling well. That sweater is beautiful and so is the baby boy wearing it. My little one hasn’t gotten any teeth yet, but I know they are coming!

    • Apparently Asa is teething earlier than a lot of kids, but it hasn’t been too bad. And once it gets to the point of being bad, I’m just in such a hurry for them to come already, so he’s not in pain anymore! Well. Good luck when yours starts getting teeth! Hopefully it won’t be too bad.
